WHAT WE OFFER IN KELHEIM
AutoTerminal Kelheim lies directly on the river Danube. Vehicles arrive by barge from Hungary, by truck from the South German automobile factories and by rail from Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The vehicles are stored and handled at the trimodal terminal. On a total area of 550,000 m², we offer all loading and unloading activities of a modern logistics company. Thanks to our 33,000 storage spaces, of which 13.000 are in three multi-story car parks, we can securely store more vehicles than any other comparable company in the region.
At the Kelheim site, BLG operates technical centers in which vehicles from different manufacturers are expertly processed. The technical centers are equipped with two car-wash plants, two paint booths and numerous lifting platforms for carrying out repairs and body cavity sealing. The terminal also features 67 wall boxes for charging electric vehicles. One stand-out facility is the enormous spare parts center. It stores large quantities of spare parts for vehicles of different manufacturers and also ships them to other workshops in Germany on request.
Sustainable! As a responsible company, we recycle our water. Specifically, we recycle so much water that all work at the terminal only requires a 20% share of fresh water. A photovoltaic system was installed on the roof of one of the buildings in 2019. It generates 43,000 kWh of electricity, of which the terminal consumes 85% for its own operations.
