EUROGATE has established itself in Europe as a leading, shipping-line-independent container terminal operator. Globalization and ever-fiercer competition between ports demand far-sighted decisions, continuous commitment and a 100-percent customer-centered approach. These are the challenges we are actively tackling.
Containers are an expression of today's dynamic global trade. As a European company, we want to continuously optimize our quality and service for our customers across borders, strengthen our position in Europe and expand our market leadership.
At the same time, we embrace our local responsibility. What makes us stand out in container handling is our high productivity and optimally coordinated work processes. Our employees play a crucial role. Many of them are in the second generation of their family to work for us. We do all we can for our company and invest substantial sums to ensure our terminals remain on a top technical level and continue to be competitive now and in the future.
Protection of the environment and natural resources is a key principle for EUROGATE. We have committed ourselves to a group environmental protection strategy based on three principles: maximum efficiency, minimum emissions and maximum safety. Protecting the environment is not only a social commitment. It is an investment in our company, humanity and the future.
Container handling at the seaport is our core business. As a shipping-line-independent container terminal group, together with our sister company Contship Italia, Swe operate sea terminals on the North Sea, in the Mediterranean region and on the Atlantic coast with excellent connections to the European hinterland.
Apart from container handling, we offer supplementary services in all areas relating to containers, for example seaworthy packing or container depots, plus container maintenance and repair. Our intermodal transport network links our seaport terminals in North and South Europe with important European economic regions.
One of the secrets of our success is our ability to forge lasting partnerships and alliances. We participate in two joint ventures in Bremerhaven. NTB North Sea Terminal Bremerhaven is a joint venture with APM Terminals, a member of the A. P. Moeller-Maersk Group and a sister company of the world's largest shipping company, Maersk Line. MSC Gate, located at the Southern end of the Bremerhaven container terminal, is a joint venture between EUROGATE and TIL Terminal Investment Limited, a partner in the MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company.
The EUROGATE Group is headquartered in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen./
