Matthias Magnor, Board Member and COO of BLG LOGISTICS, and Matthias Fischer, COO of Engelbert Strauss GmbH & Co, presented a cheque for 10,000 euros to the Future Lab of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen as part of the Bremen Oldtimer Classics 2024.
Upon invitation of the BLG Board of Management, Matthias Fischer took part in the traditional classic Oldtimer-Ralley, the Bremen Oldtimer Classics, for the first time. BLG LOGISTICS and STRAUSS have a long-standing and trusting relationship. Since 2013, BLG is a logistics partner of the family-owned company, which is one of the world's leading manufacturers of work, utility and protective equipment.
Matthias Fischer and Matthias Magnor share an enthusiasm for logistics and a passion for the mobility of the past. The sense of social responsibility that both companies share is also a matter of honor for the Management Board members. As part of the Bremen Oldtimer Classics, Magnor and Fischer present the Deutsche Kammer-philharmonie Bremen with a cheque for €10,000 to support the district opera in Bremen Tenever. „This project is very important to us“, says Matthias Magnor, Member of the Board of Management and COO of BLG LOGISTICS. „The district opera brings together the most diverse people, lets them create together and consciously takes up impulses from a multicultural living environment. This creates strong bridges that connect people and give pupils perspectives. The potential to shape the future is what this project shares with logistics and BLG.“
„We are delighted to be able to support this great project together. For STRAUSS, assuming social responsibility is part of the company and family tradition. Supporting children and young people is also a priority for us. We are convinced that we can only shape the future together. The district opera fits in perfectly with this philosophy. It is great that we are able to support this project together with our logistics partner, BLG“, says Matthias Fischer.
The Future Lab of the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen promotes the development of individual potential through music and aims to give young people new perspectives. Projects such as the district opera are implemented in the middle of a Bremen district with high levels of child poverty and educational disadvantage. Together with professional opera singers, the pupils of the Bremen-Ost comprehensive school perform on stage - accompanied by a world-class orchestra. They are supported in this mega project by an entire district. Costumes and stage sets are also produced in-house. Up to 600 people work for months on each 'district opera' under professional guidance in front of and behind the scenes. Everyone gets involved in their own way: in the music, the design, the togetherness or in the logistics behind the scenes.
