The Supervisory Board of the BLG Group has appointed Axel Krichel as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the two divisions AUTOMOBILE and CONTRACT as from January 1, 2025. With this appointment, he will also become a member of the Board of Management. Axel Krichel (57) succeeds Matthias Magnor, who will take on the role of CEO of the BLG Group.
In his last position, Axel Krichel, who holds a degree in computer science, was a member of the management board of Kuehne + Nagel with responsibility for the entire contract logistics business area in the DACH region. Previously, he was Senior Vice President (SVP) for Operations & Customer Excellence Logistics in Europe as well as SVP for a major customer in the aerospace industry, also at Kuehne + Nagel. Further career stages include senior management positions at Schenker and DHL.
